Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirate's Life For Me

It was a rainy day with nothing to do, so we decided to play pirates. Alise and Zadik made pirate hats and then Alise found her life jacket and put that on so she wouldn't drown. Zadik of course had to have one too, but since we don't have two of them, I had to improvise and put his jacket vest on. Then they climbed into their pirate ship (the crib). After all that work, Zadik's attention span lasted about two minutes as usual, and Alise got upset because she needed someone to play pirates with. Since Brenna is usually up for anything, we put Zadik's pirate hat on her and she became Alise's new little skipper.

Good friends, good times...

My good friend Kim came out here from Indiana to help me out after Brenna was born. She brought her daughter Lilly, who is Alise's best friend, and they had non-stop fun. They laughed and talked constantly as they played dress-ups and went off-roading in our back yard.

Zadik's Birthday!

Zadik had a great birthday! We made a circus train cake for him. His favorite present that he got was a toy drum. Oh the look on his face when he realized that he could pound on something without getting in trouble for it. He also loved being sung to on his birthday. Now three weeks later he is still obsessed with the Happy Birthday song.
